Description
This work presents the most recent buildings and projects by the German architectural office Bolles-Wilson. Their architecture is characterized by the meeting of German and Anglo-Saxon cultures, with high-quality design down to the smallest detail and a refreshing command of architectural fantasy. The aim of the architects is to "take up one of the principal responsibilities of architecture: to focus, to anchor, to give measure". This monograph shows buildings and projects from the period 1993 to 1997 in Munster, Castropo-Rauxel, Hengeloo and Rotterdam, where their New Luxor Theatre forms a high point in the urban design development programme for this harbour city. For this work Bolles + Wilson won the competition in 1996.
