This volume contains the proceedings of the 11th International Conference on Rewriting Techniques and Applications. The conference was held July 10-12, 2000,attheUniversityofEastAnglia,Norwich,U. K. Itisthemajorforumfor thepresentationofresearchonalltheoreticalandpracticalaspectsofrewriting.
