内容説明

The Arab Israeli War of 1967 thrust the Middle East into international view. Subsequent decades saw more wars, the growth of terrorism, and several peace initiatives with varying degrees of success. These events and media reports of them have created certain images in the minds of the public, although not always a genuine understanding of the region and its problems. This book presents students with a history of the conflict including a basic outline of pre-1948 history of the region, the history of Zion and concludes with the peace negotiations of the 1990s. The book also includes a large range of primary documents dealing with each period in turn.
