This is a portable book highlighting good practice in nursing. Essentially the book sets out to give the practitioner the succinct message of what he/she needs in order to give the best possible nursing care to the patient. It provides a concise view of issues that affect women both collectively and individually, raising awareness of the role of the nurse in supporting women throughout their lives. The handbook has comprehensive resources, references and a bibliography. This is not a 'how to' book, more a 'where to go from here' book.
