    第21回ペドロジスト・トレーニングコース「土壌生成と時間」で調査した奄美群島喜界島の3地点の土壌について,土壌断面形態の記載,一般理化学性および遊離酸化鉄の形態の分析を行い,ペドン・ペーパーとしてまとめた。その結果,KI-1はKI-3に比べて,1)シルト/粘土比の低下,2)粘土の移動集積,3)遊離酸化鉄の結晶化指数の増大から,長期の土壌生成作用および風化を受けた土壌であることが明らかとなった。
