    レーザ・アークハイブリッド溶接の課題である多量のスパッタ発生を低減することを目的として、アーク特性の差異による溶滴移行形態およびスパッタ発生量の変化を評価した。ＲＥＭ添加ワイヤ使用の正極性アーク溶接を適用したレーザ・アークハイブリッド溶接は、一般的なＭＡＧ溶接を適用した場合と比べ、スパッタ量を１／５まで低減でき、溶滴移行形態がプロジェクト移行となることにより大径のスパッタの大幅な低減が確認された。

    選択的レーザー溶融法(SLM)は、粉末をレーザーによって溶融凝固して立体造形を行う手法である。SLMではスパッタによる造形効率の低下が課題であった。先行研究ではスパッタレスな手法を開発したが、造形物に異方性が生じた。そこで、変調パルスによる入熱制御を行った。CW、変調パルスによるTi64造形物の硬度はそれぞれα合金、α+β合金に近くなった。これより、入熱制御による材料組織制御の可能性が示唆された。

    炭酸ガス溶接時に少量のアルゴンガスをパルス状に吹き込み、ガス組成を時間的に高速度で変化させ、溶接現象に及ぼす影響を調べた。低周期では、夫々のガス組成の溶接現象が交互に生じるだけだが、炭酸ガス溶接での溶滴の自然離脱周期を超える程度まで早い周期で変化させると、溶滴離脱がガス組成変化周期に従う様になる。適切なガス添加条件の選択で、炭酸ガス溶接でも溶滴の小滴化が可能となり、スパッタ発生を大幅に抑制できる。

    MAG溶接法では低スパッタ化が可能な一方で，Arの使用量が多いためガスコストが非常に高い．そこで，CO2を主たるシールドガスとし，少量のArを溶滴の周辺のみに周期的（パルス状）に添加することで規則的な溶滴移行を実現し，ガスコストを抑えつつ低スパッタ化が可能なプロセスを開発した．本報ではArガス添加条件が溶滴移行形態に及ぼす影響について調査し，Arガス添加と溶滴移行が同期する条件について報告する

    FCWを用いたエレクトロガス溶接法は、スパッタ・ヒュームの発生が著しく、シールド不良発生時は性能劣化が避けられない。一方、エレクトロスラグ溶接法(以下ESW)もよく知られているが、低能率・低品質である。本報では、スパッタ・ヒュームの発生が極めて少なく、シールドガスを必要としない新しいESW法を開発し、その各種施工因子が能率および品質に及ぼす影響について検討した結果を報告する。

    船体建造工程では，熱変形が少ないレーザ・アークハイブリッド溶接が期待されている．しかし，一般商船で扱う厚板向けの溶接条件として検討された例は少なく，一般商船の船体部に適用される板厚レベルでの実船建造施工例の報告は無い．本研究では，レーザとアークの組合せにより生じる複数の溶接パラメータを可変させた実験を行い，ビード形状及び溶接時に発生するスパッタへの影響について調査した．
