    超音波振動する主軸で、空気静圧軸受で支持され、空気タービンで回転する小型高速主軸を開発した。周波数は41kHzであり、回転数は50000min-1を達成した。主軸性能を調査した結果、工作機械主軸として、十分な剛性と回転精度が得られることがわかった。わかった。切削試験を行った結果、良好な振動切削が可能であることも明らかにした。

    本論文では,加工用スピンドルとして,要求される負荷容量や消費動力に応じて潤滑流体を水あるいは空気に切り替え,それらの調節を可能とした水/空気潤滑のハイブリッド型静圧ジャーナル軸受を提案した.そして実際の加工時を想定し,オフセット荷重が軸に加わる場合の静的特性を数値的,実験的に明らかにすることで,この種のスピンドルの設計指針を示した.

    前報で提案した関節駆動機構を2自由度に展開し,高精度化された水平多関節型位置決め機構を新たに設計製作して,その基本性能を実験的に検討している.各関節は,高精度空気静圧軸受で回転案内され,構造体重心が関節軸と一致するような重量配分とした.また,関節の実回転角度を超高分解能ロータリーエンコーダで検出してフィードバック制御することにより,手先の位置決めの再現性を3.5μm程度にまで向上することができた.
