Abstract

As the measures required for regenerating waterworks sludge to resources, the sludge was treated by electrolytic process, and its properties were changed. It became clear by the basic experiment that this electrolytically treated sludge changed its properties to various characteristic properties. By utilizing one of these features, namely the capability of granulation, the restoration of the electrolytically treated sludge to soil and its utilization were investigated. As the results, it was concluded that the soil mixed with the sludge is effective for the base of cultivating plants and the construction material as the surface soil of slopes.<br>According to these facts, it was judged that waterworks sludge can be regenerated and utilized as resources.
