Abstract

Molecular recognition components of chemical sensors on ion-selective electrodes and piezoelectric quartz crystals were prepared by plasma polymerization. Ammonium tetraphenylborate, a mixture of perfluorobenzene and sulfur dioxide, 4, 4'-methylenedianiline, styrene, pentafluorostyrene and phthalocyanines derivatives served as the monomers in the plasma polymerization. High sensitivity and good stability were found characteristic of the chemical sensors in which plasma-polymerized membranes were used.
