Abstract

In order to adopt spread founcdations on slightly weak gravel bed ground, Authors have conducted a series of plate bearing tests using for the purpose of establishing reasonable design method on spread foundations.<br>This paper describes not only the bearing capacity and the modulus of subgrade rcaction but also useful information obtained from comparing plate bearing test results with actual elastic settlement.
