抄録

The pollen morphology of extant Hemiptelea was compared with that of Zelkova and Ulmus.<br>The comparison indicated that the Hemiptelea pollen is verrucate, but Ulmus and Zelkova pollen are rugulate or reticulate. As a result, fossil pollen of cf. Ulmus-Zelkova obtained from the Furuya Mud Bed and the upper part of the Gotentoge Gravel Bed, middle to late Pleistocene, were identified as Hemiptelea belonging based on comparison with the extant pollen morphology.
