抄録

The relaxation method is known as one of the most powerful algorithms for frame-to-frame particle tracking velocimetry (PTV). But there have been so far few examples applied to the PIV measurement so that the possibility of the method has not yet been explored up to the practical use level. So in the present work, the performance of the relaxation method PTV is examined using the PIV standard images open on the Internet and the potential of this new method is discussed under varied experimental conditions. Some comparison is made with respect to other particle tracking PTV methods inclusive of a multi frame in-line tracking method.
