Abstract

The AC magnetic susceptibility for itinerant ferromagnet TiCoSn has been investigated at temperatures between 80 K and 300 K under hydrostatic pressures up to 18 kbar. The Curie temperature is increased linearly with increasing pressure at a rate of dTc/dp=+0. 12 K/kbar. This value is one orderof magnitude smaller than that of TiCo2Z (Z=Al, Ga and Sn). Below TC, the absolute value of susceptibility is reduced by applying pressure. Therefore, it is suggested that the effect of pressure on magnetic interaction is weak in TiCoSn, and then this can be interpreted in terms of Co-Co spacing in the compounds.
