Abstract

In order to further reduce the noises from the outdoor-unit, sound absorption and obstruction characteristics in the sound absorption structuring section are examined and the relationship between noises and cavity resonances in the interior space is clarified. The effects of the aperture prepared in the sound absorption structuring section are carefully examined, thus resulting in a large influence on sound absorption, such as the materials used for sound damping. A domestic use air-conditioner is installed in an ordinary house and the radiation of noises produced by the indoor-units and outdoor-units during cooling operation is measured. Quality of outdoor-unit noise for a domestic use air-conditioner is described.
