抄録

The snow removal system in an open channel is investigated by the hydraulic approach. The fundamental equations are derived by treatment of the two-phase flow analysis. The continuity and momentum equations are obtained for the snow and water phases. The increment in shear stresses caused by the snow movement is taken into account in the model. The shear stresses acting on the small water tunnel in the snow layer are considered. This idea is essential to developing this theoretical analysis. The results obtained show the threshold condition of snow movement, the increment ratio of water depth caused by the snow lump, and the maximum snow conveyance rate in an open channel. Some of these results are compared with experimental data and the agreement between the theory and experimental data are quite satisfying.
