The measured resistivity changes of Al–0.35 mass%Zr–0.15 mass%Fe–0.05∼0.15 mass%Si commercial alloys by long period accumulative heat treatment were compared with the <i>Temperature-Resistivity diagrams</i> (<i>T–ρ diagrams</i>), calculated from solubility curves of binary alloy systems (Al–x, x=Zr, Fe, Si), to estimate the effect of Si content on the solubility of Zr in Al. In the accumulative treatment of the wires above 723 K after heat treatment at 723 K for 180 ks and cold drawing, resistivity increases by the re-dissolution of Fe and Zr. In this re-dissolution stage, resistivity reaches nearly a constant for each annealing temperatures by prolonged heating. The tendency of the changes of these constant resistivities ρ77 with annealing temperature <i>T</i> coincides with that of the calculated resistivities in <i>T–ρ diagrams</i>. Because the <i>T–ρ diagrams</i> are calculated under assumption of no interaction between solute atoms of different species, this coincidence suggests that the effect of Si addition up to 0.15 mass% on the solubility of Zr is negligibly small.
