Abstract

Uand fluorine in river waters and drinking waters were measured by ICP-MS and ion chromatography, respectively.Uconcentrations in the river waters were ranged from detection limit (0.02μg/kg) to 5.40μg/kg.HighUand fluorine concentrations were found in the river water at Mt. Rokko and northern part of Awaji island consisting of geological features with Rokko and Ryoke granite. In another granitic areas and other areas, bothUand fluorine concentrations were low values. We presumed thatUin the river waters depends on the dissolution from rock at the sampling sites. On drinking water, highUwere detected at Mt. Rokko and northern part of Awaji island, although the concentrations were lower values than the guidance level of the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
