Abstract

A relatively rare case of heterochronous multiple colon cancer (CK) assosiated with multiple myeloma (MM) is reported. A 60-years-old female underwent right hemicolectomy due to right sided multiple CKs. When she was 67 years old, the diagnosis was MM, because of IgA elevation, 1600mg/dl, positive BenceJones protein in urine and bone in pouched out shadows on skelton Xray films. . She underwent VCAP and INF therapy. At 68 years old, she was admitted because of anemia with the hemoglobin level of 5.8g/dl. Barium enema and colonoscopy were performed and the diagnosis of heterochronous multiple CK was made. Then partial transversecolectomy was performed. In the resected specimen, pathology revealed well-differentiated adenocarcinoma with mucinous secretion.
