抄録

Tow patients, who were member of the same HNPCC (Hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer) family but with different types of early colon cancer, were treated.<BR>The father (57-year-old) had early colon cancer of type II c, which was only 3.5mm in diameter but had already invaded to the submucosal layer, without an adenoma component.<BR>The son (26-year-old) had early colon cancer of type I which was 3 cm in diameter and was an intramucosal carcinoma. Adenoma component was noted, supporting the adenoma-carcinoma sequence.<BR>By taking into consideration that patients with colon cancer in the HNPCC family have the same genetic background, it is very interesting that defferent types of colon cancer developed in the members of the same HNPCC family.
