An Fe–11Cr–19Ni alloy single crystal was deformed in tension along a direction close to ⟨011⟩ to a strain of 0.31 at room temperature. Deformation was uniform both macroscopically and microscopically, without the formation of deformation bands. The crystal was rotated such that the primary slip direction moved towards the tensile direction. After annealing, small recrystallized grains were formed. They were separated from each other. The orientations of about half of the recrystallized grains were described by the orientation of the deformed matrix rotated about ⟨111⟩ axes. The recrystallized grains with orientations rotated about the conjugate-slip plane normal and the cross-slip plane normal were predominant. The rotating direction was opposite to the matrix rotation during tensile deformation.
