抄録

Local Government is expected to play an important role in terms of the support system for community. In Kanagawa, support systems for community activities are mainly provided by the local governments in the direct way. When we see the transition of support systems, the stress have been more on the informal and beginning stage activities of community based planning activities by the local governments are still in the developing process. The community's choice for the support systems should be more affluent. Moreover, the local governments have specific problems according to their population; big cities should strengthen sub-regional governmental office while small towns should experience more supporting activities.
