抄録

A small sized centrifugal blood pump with a magnetically suspended impeller for right heart (RMSCP) was developed and it's hydrodynamial pump characteristics and power consumption for magnetic bearings were comparered with a large model for left heart (LMSCP). The RMSCP operates at 2000rpm with an efficiency of 28.3% at a flow rate of 5L/min and a pressure rise of 20mmHg. And it can operate up to a flow rate of 8L/min and a pressure rise of 150mmHg with a magnetic coupling distance of 1.85mm. This results suggest that the RMSCP can be used for left heart assist or replacement. The RMSCP can operate up to a flow rate of 8L/min and a pressure rise of 90mmHg and the magnetic bearing of it require apploximatelly 13.5w of electric power with a magnetic coupling distance of 2.4mm. Sudden reduction of the power for a magnetic bearing of LMSCP at a pump rotational speed of 1600rpm suggest influence of hydrodynamical force to the power.
