抄録

A case of malignant schwannoma originating from the anal canal is reported. A 72-year-old female visited our hospital with an anal tumor. Because of mutiple metastases of the bone and lung, palliative abdominoperineal resection was performed and malignant schwannoma of the anal canal was pathologically diagnosed. Seven months later, a tumor was found in the upper abdomen and tumor resection was performd. The pathological diagnosis was the same as the anal canal tumor. Malignant schwannoma of the digestive tract is very rare. This may be the first case reported in the world.
