Abstract

アカウニ種苗生産で使用されている主餌料は<I>Chaetoceros</I>類が一般的であるが培養が必ずしも安定していないため, 生産に支障をきたす場合が生じている。今回, 安定培養が可能な<I>Dunaliella saliva</I>及び<I>Phaeoductylum tricornutum</I>を用いることにより, <I>Chaetoceros</I>の代替餌料としてアカウニ浮遊幼生が最終変態をし稚ウニとなる結果を得た。<BR>また, <I>Dunaliella sarina</I>の給餌細胞濃度により, アカウニ浮遊幼生が六腕期に達しないこと, 併用した<I>Phaeoductylum tricornutum</I>の給餌細胞濃度や給餌の時期で叉棘が形成されないことや幼生の胃の萎縮が起こることが判明した。

<I>Chaetoceros</I> sp. has been mainly used as feed for the seedling production of sea urchin, <I>Pseudocentrotus depressus</I>. The seedling production has sometimes been disrupted because the <I>Chaetoceros</I> sp. culture was not necessarily stabilized. By using <I>Dunaliella sauna</I> and <I>Phaeoductylum tricornutum</I>, which are able to be cultured more reliably than <I>Chaetoceros</I> sp., as substitutive feed, the planktonic sea urchin larvae become juvenile sea urchin after final metamorphosis.<BR>It was found that the feeding cell density of <I>Dunaliella sauna</I> affected the development of sea urchin larvae to Six-arm-stage, and that the feeding cell density of <I>Phaeoductylum tricornutum</I> being concurrently used and its feeding time were related with the formation of pedicellaria and the shrinkage of the stomach of the larva.
