Abstract

Cat scratch disease, zoonosis, is caused by contacting with a cat or a kitten and the clinical features are lymphadenopathy, fever and skin lesion. We encountered four cases of cat scratch disease in which all patients presented with cervical lymphadenopathy and had a history of contact with kittens or cats. In addition, the IgG antibody levels to Bartonella henselae were elevated in all cases. In the diagnosis of cat scratch disease, it is important to ask the patient about prior contact with cats or kittens and to test for an elevated IgG antibody level to Bartonella henselae.
