Abstract

電子線架橋ポリエチレン被覆鋼材の衝撃エネルギーに及ぼす温度, 膜厚の影響を調査した。衝撃エネルギーは膜厚に正比例せず, ポンチ先端形状と膜厚で計算される幾何学的歪み (ε) と正比例の関係を示した。シートの引張試験から得られた破断エネルギーを伸びで割った平均破断エネルギー (w) の温度依存性と衝撃エネルギーの温度依存性から求めた活性化エネルギーはほぼ一致した。以上から衝撃エネルギーをあらわすパラメーターとして, wとεの積を提案した。このパラメーターと本実験で得られた温度, 膜厚の異なる衝撃エネルギーが一義的にあらわせることを示した。

The effects of temperature and coating thickness on the impact energy of steel coated with electron-beam cross-linked polyethylene were investigated. Impact energy was not in direct proportion to coating thickness but to geometrical strain (E) calculated with coating thickness and punch shape. The activation energy obtained from temperature dependence of impact energy at various coating thicknesses agreed with that obtained from temperature dependence of mean deformation energy (w) that was calculated by the division of deformation energy by elongation in the tensile test of polyethylene sheet. From the results above, we proposed the product of w andεwas proposed as a parameter showing impact energy. It was shown that the relationship between the parameter (w·ε) and impact energy obtained in this experiment at various coating thicknesses and temperatures expressed uniquely.
