Abstract

1994-95年に2,000GT型の漁業練習船が行ったニュージランド・ハワイ航海において,甲板部乗組員6名の歩行活動を記録し,それに及ぼす兢海日数と海面状態に関する諸要因の影響を航行海域ごとに分けて調べ,次の結果が得られた: (1)有意とみなせる重回帰式は30例(人×海域)中16例に関して得られ,それらの分布は海域と乗組員によって異なる。 (2)有意とみなせない式を含め,各乗組員の歩行活動に関する最良重回帰式に取り入れられた説明変数は,乗組員によって異なり,同じ乗組員の歩行活動に関する式でも海域によって異なる。 (3)海面状態の荒さを表す変数と相関を示すために他の変数が代わりに取り入れられたとみなしても,海面状態が荒くなるに従って歩行活動が低下する傾向は1/3の例にしか認められなかった。

The pedometer readings for the 6 members of the deck section on board a 2,000 G.T. fishery trainingvessel were recorded twice・a day over 53 effective days during the New Zealand-Hawaii cruise in 1994-95.The influential factors in the walking activity of these members in the respective areas were sought by estimatingthe multiple linear regression equations on the presettable variables (number of days after departure and theAM-PM dummy variable) and the variables relating to the surface tonditions. The results obtained weresummarized as follows : (1) Significant equations could be obtained for 16 cases (member x area) out of 30.Their distribution had no relation to the member and the area. (2) The actually adopted explanation variables inthe equations differed according to the area even among the equations for the activity of the same members.(3) The decreasing trend with the increase in the variables showing the roughness of the surface conditionscould be admitted for at most l/3 of the cases,)even when the variables showing significant correlation to theroughness variables were regarded to be adopted instead of them.
