Abstract

室戸海洋深層水の主要成分及び栄養塩類等の定期的測定を実施し, 各成分の安定性や変動性を調査した. その結果, 主要成分ではほとんどの成分が変動係数2%以下であり安定性があることを示していた. 栄養塩類においては変動係数が高く, また, 栄養塩類間に相関性が認められた. また, 外洋の栄養塩類の鉛直分布と比較して室戸海洋深層水は, 取水深度よりも深い層を流れている海水であることが示唆された.

Muroto deep seawater is rich in nutrients, clean, and low in temperature. Deep seawater is used as a raw material in industry. A periodic observation of deep seawater was executed and the stabilities of each element were studied. As a result, almost all major elements were found to be stable at the coefficient of a variance of 2% or less. On the other hand, those of the nutrients were high compared to major elements. And the correlation for each nutrient was found. This infers that Muroto deep seawater is deeper than actual deep seawater compared by means of vertical profiles of nutrients in the North Pacific.
