Abstract

融解後生存率の異なるブタ凍結精液を用いて人工授精を行い, 受胎率及び一腹あたりの胎子数または産子数を調査した。供試精液は宮城県畜試で実施中の雄型選抜試験の第4世代12頭のデュロック種雄豚から採取した。凍結ストローの作成は豚凍結精液利用技術マニュアルに準拠した。ただし, 前処理液および融解液にはモデナ液を利用した。凍結操作はプログラムフリーザーを用いた方法で行った。凍結融解後の生存率が異なる精液を用いて人工授精を行い, 28-44日 (平均33.7±5.5日) 後にと殺して胎子数を調べた。受胎率および一腹胎子数は, 精子生存率45-55%の精液を用いた場合は58.3%および6.4頭であったのに対し, 生存率70-80%の精液では91.7%および9.4頭と高い傾向を示し, 融解後の精子生存率の高い精液を用いることによって受胎率および胎子数が改善される可能性が示唆された。また, 融解後生存率の高い (60%以上) の凍結・融解精液を用いて野外受胎試験を行った結果は, 受胎率46.2%および産子数7.8頭であった。

We investigated the effect of the motility of frozen-thawed boar semen on the conception rate and the number of fetuses. Semen used in this experiment was collected from 12 boars in the 4th generation of selection experiment for Duroc pig at Miyagi Prefecture Animal Industry Experimental Station. Boar semen was treated by the current method and samples were frozen using a programed freezer. The diluent was changed to modena. We conducted artificial insemination (AI) using frozen-thawed boar semen which had different motility. And sows were slaughtered to count the number of fetuses 28-44 days (avg. 33.7±5.5 days) later after AI. While the conception rate and the number of fetuses were 58.3% and 6.4 in the case of the low motility (45-55%) frozen-thawed boar semen, those were 91.7% and 9.4 in high motility (70-80%) frozen-thawed boar semen. The results suggested the possibility that the conception rate and the number of fetuses were improved by using high motility (70-80%) frozen-thawed boar semen. The conception rate and average litter size in field conception experiment by using frozen-thawed boar semen of high motility (60% or more) were 46.2% and 7.8, respectively.
