Abstract

合成黄体ホルモン剤である Altrenogest を経口投与中の豚に, 性腺刺激ホルモン (PMSG, hCG) を投与し卵巣反応を調べた。試験に用いた雌豚は離乳時の豚19頭であった。試験区は次の4区を設定した。1区: Altrenogest (-) PMSG (+) hCG (+), 2区・3区: Altrenogest (+) PMSG (+) hCG (-), 4区: Altrenogest (+) PMSG (+) hCG (+), 卵巣の検査は2区はPMSG投与後5日目に行い, 他の区は全てPMSG投与後7~10日目に行った。(1) 発情は1区においては全ての豚 (5/5) に強く発現したが, 他の区においてはいずれの豚にも強い発情は発現しなかった。(2) 卵巣反応では1区では全ての豚 (5/5) に黄体があり (32.8±11.8), 卵子も回収された (23.8±13.7)。2区では75% (3/4) の豚に発育した卵胞があった (21.7±6.5)。3区では全ての豚 (0/5) で発育した卵胞も黄体もなかった。4区では1区と同様に全ての豚 (5/5) に黄体があり (24.0±7.4), 卵子も回収された (18.3±7.6)。これらのことから, Altrenogest 投与中に外因性の性腺刺激ホルモンのPMSGだけの投与では, 卵胞は発育するが排卵せず, 引き続きhCGを投与すると排卵した。

A study was conducted to examine the response of ovaries in sows receiving gonadotropin (PMSG, hCG) during treatment with Altrenogest. Nineteen sows just after lactation were randomly assigned to the following four groups. Group 1: Altrenogest (-), PMSG (+) hCG (+); Groups 2 and 3: Altrenogest (+), PMSG (+), hCG (-); Group 4: Altrenogest (+), PMSG (+), hCG (+). The sows were subjected to laparoscopic examination on the fifth day after PMSG injection in Group 2, and between eight and ten days after PMSG injection in the other groups.<br>(1) All the sows in Group 1 exhibited estrus, whereas strong estrus was not recongnized in any of the sows in Groups 2, 3 and 4.<br>(2) Corpora lutea were induced in all the sows in Groups 1 and 4 (32.8±11.8, 24.0±7.4), and at the same time eggs were recovered in all the sows (23.8±13.7, 18.3±7.6). Three out of four sows in Group 2 had large follicles (21.7±6.5), although the sows in Group 3 had neither corpora lutea nor large follicles.<br>The sows injected with only PMSG during Altrenogest treatment did not ovulate even though they showed follicular growth. However, ovulation was induced during Altrenogest treatment in sows injected with PMSG and hCG. These results indicate that Altrenogest treatment does not interfere with the follicular ability to respond to exogenous gonadotropins (PMSG, hCG).
