Abstract

子豚の吸乳量測定装置はアングルケージとケージに取り付けた荷重変換器, 増幅部及びパーソナルコンピュータから構成されている。吸乳量は, 吸乳前後の子豚の体重差から求めた。体重は, 荷重変換器の変動からの平均値を算出することで求めた。測定範囲は10Kg以下まで, ±1.0g以内の測定誤差で計測できる。子豚の吸乳量の測定実験では, 生後0-3日での一回当たりの吸乳量は約15gであった。生後8-14日では約25g となり, 吸乳量の近似曲線としてy=0.0051X<sup>3</sup>-0.2185X<sup>2</sup>+3.2907X+9.787が得られた。これらの結果から本装置は簡便で短時間で高い精度が得られる計測システムであり, 実際に使用できることが明らかとなった。

We have developed a measurement system for suckled milk volume in piglets. The measuring system is composed of an angled cage, a load cell, the cage holding the piglet, and a personal computer. The measurement of suckled milk volume is obtained from the difference of body weight, before, and after suckling. The body weight can be obtained by calculating the mean value from the fluctuation of load cell, even if the piglet moves in the cage. The measuring range of this system, at values under 10kg, has an accuracy within ±1.0g. In the measurement experiment on the suckled milk volume of piglets, the mean volume for Landrace piglets per time at 0-3 days of age, was about 15g. At 8-14 days, the mean suckled milk volume increased to about 25g, and y=0.0051X<sup>3</sup>-0.2185X<sup>2</sup>+3.2907X+9.787 was obtained as an approximate curve of the mean suckled milk volume. From these results, this system proved convenient with high accuracy, obtained during a short period of time, and it was shown that this system was practical to use.
