Abstract

低過飽和度で気相から成長する氷結晶(雪結晶)の晶癖変化の温度依存性の機構を実験的に研究した.その結果,晶癖変化の温度依存性は氷結晶の底面{0001}と柱面{1010}上に形成される成長丘の傾きの異方性が温度に依存することによって説明できる.また,高過飽和度で気相から成長する氷結晶の側枝(第2枝)の形成機構を実験的に研究した.その結果,水飽和近辺とこれより高い過飽和度では側枝の形成機構が異なる事が分かった.

The mechanism of temperature dependence of ice crystal habit growing from the vapor phase at low supersaturation was experimentally studied.The habit change of ice crystals with temperature can be explained by the temperature dependence of the anisotropy of the slope of growth hillocks formed on the {0001} and {1010} faces of the ice crystals.<BR>In addition, the fomation mechanism of the side branches (secondary branches) of dendritic ice crystals growing at high supersaturation was experimentally studied. The fomation mechanism of side branches of dendritic ice crystals growing at the supersaturation near water saturation was found to be different from that above water saturation.
