Abstract

豚の消化率に及ぼす寒冷の影響について, 飼料中繊維含量と飼料給与水準の要因を考慮に入れて検討した。4対の同腹去勢雄 (平均体重37kg) を2群に分け, それぞれ5および20℃の環境調節室内で飼育した。供試飼料は繊維含量の低い飼料L (粗繊維含量2.5%) と繊維含量の高い飼料H (粗繊維含量7.7%) を用い, それぞれ体重の5および2.5%を給与する4つの飼料給与区を設定した。各環境温度下で, 1期10日間の消化試験 (予備期5日, 採糞期5日) を4×4のラテン方格法に基づいて実施した。飼料Lの消化率に環境温度および飼料給与水準による違いは認められなかった。飼料Hでは, 5℃で体重の5%を給与した場合に乾物, 粗蛋白質, 粗脂肪およびエネルギーの消化率が20℃で飼育した場合に比べ有意 (P<0.05) に低下した。以上の結果から, 豚の消化率に及ぼす寒冷の影響は飼料中繊維含量と飼料給与水準によって異なり, 寒冷環境で繊維含量の高い飼料を多給した場合に消化率が低下することが示された。

The effects of cold on digestibility in pigs were investigated in consideration of dietary fiber content and feeding level. Four pairs of litter mate barrows, averaging 37kg live weight, were divided into two groups of which one was kept in a room controled at 5°C and the other in a room controlled at 20°C. Animals in each group were given diets L and H which contained 2.5 and 7.7% of crude fiber respectively, and were supplied at two feeding levels of 2.5 and 5.0% of body weight per day for four consecutive 10-day periods. Under each environmental temperature, the digestion trial consisted a 5-day preliminary period prior to a 5-day feces collection period. The experiment was conducted as a 4×4 Latin square design.<br>The digestibilities of diet L were not affected by environmental temperatues and feeding levels. The digestibilities of diet H in pigs fed to 5% of body weight at the 5°C environment were significantly lower in dry matter, crude protein, crude fat and gross energy than those in pigs kept at the 20°C environment. It was suggested that the effects of cold on digestibility in pigs were different with dietary fiber content and feeding level, and the digestibility in pigs kept under cold environment decreased when pigs were fed the high fiber diet at the high feeding kevel.
