Abstract

北京黒豚について精液の一般性状, Kiev 希釈液による液状保存とストロー法による凍結保存の成績および雌豚の繁殖成績を調べた。精液の研究には北京黒豚の雄豚4頭の精液を用い, 対照としてデュロック種, ランドレース種および大ヨークシャー種についてそれぞれ3頭の精液を用いた。雌豚の繁殖成績の研究には北京黒豚の雌豚6頭 (10腹) を用い, 対照として24頭のランドレース種を用いた。<br>北京黒豚の精液性状では精液量は対照豚より少ない傾向にあり (203.0±66.5m<i>l</i>と224.3±52.7m<i>l</i>), 運動精子率は対照豚より低かった (P<0.01, 74.6±8.5%と83.1±7.0%)。しかし, 精子濃度, 総精子数, 浸透圧およびpHは対照豚と差がなかった。液状保存における運動精子率は, 希釈当日に78.8±4.3%であったが5日目に59.2±11.0%となった。この傾向は対照豚と同様であった。凍結保存における運動精子率は, 融解後30分で対照豚より低かった (P<0.05, 31.5±2.3%と36.4±8.6%)。<br>雌豚10腹の平均繁殖成績では産子数は12.0±2.7頭, 生時体重は1.20±0.29kg, 離乳頭数は9.7±2.0頭, 離乳時体重は7.76±1.67kg, 妊娠期間は114.0±1.4日であった。これらの成績を対照豚と比較すると産子数では1~2頭多い傾向で, 離乳時体重では差がなく, 妊娠期間は1.5日短かった (P<0.05)。

A study was carried out to investigate the characteristics of Beijing Black boars, the preservation of liquid semen by a Kiev extender at 15°C, the preservation of frozen semen in straws and the subsequent reproductive performance of Beijing Black sows. Four boars were prepared for the semen investigation, and 6 sows (10 litters) were examined for reproductive performance. Additionally, Duroc, Landrace and Large White boars or Landrace sows were used as controls.<br>With regard to semen characteristics, the mean semen volume of Beijing Black boars tended to be less than that of the controls (203.0±66.5m<i>l</i> vs 224.3±52.7m<i>l</i>). The mean sperm motility was lower than that of the controls (P<0.01, 74.6±8.5% vs 83.1±7.0%). The mean semen concentration, mean osmotic pressure and mean pH corresponded to those of the controls.<br>With regard to the preservation of liquid semen of Beijing Black boars, the sperm motility of the day of dilution was 78.8±4.3% and decreased to 59.2±11.0% at day 5 after dilution. This tendency corresponded to that of the controls. The motility of the frozen-thawed semen at 30min after thawing was lower than that of the control (P<0.05, 31.5±.3% vs 36.4±8.6%).<br>The mean litter size, mean weight at birth, mean litter size at weaning, mean weight of piglets at weaning and mean gestation period were 12.0±2.7, 1.20±0.29kg, 9.7±2.0, 7.75±1.61kg and 114.0±1.4 days, respectively. It was shown that the litter size tended to be 1 or 2 more than that of the controls, the mean weight of piglets at birth showed no differences between Beijing Black and the controls, and the gestation period was 1.5 days shorter than that of the controls (P<0.05).
