抄録

We report an adult case of lipoma presenting with intussusception of the transvers colon which was treated with radiologic reduction followed by laparoscopiy-assisted resection. A 20-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital because of abdominal pain. Abdominal computed tomography and sonography revealed intussusception caused by a lipoma of the transverse colon. Reduction with a contrast enema was performed immediately. On the ninth day after the reduction, laparoscopy-assisted colectomy was performed with a small skin incision with the length of 4cm. The patient was very satisfied with her small wound, Open surgery has been commonly performed for adult intussusception caused by a lipoma of the colon, but the laparoscopic procedure after reduction is preferable from the view point of the patient's quality of life.
