A case of Anisakiasis in the small intestine which was diagnosed after laparotpmy for bowel obstruction was experienced. A 70-year-old man developed symptpms after eating raw fishes. Partial resection of the small bowel was performed under a diagnosis of acute abdomen. Anisakiasis larva penetrating submucosa was removed being alive and the whole worm body. Anisakiasis in the intestine occurs in a low frequency as 4.4%, and there has been 23 reports on Anisakiasis in Japan until now in which the whole worm bodies were removed. It is thought that this disease should be encounterd as a differential diagnosis with evaluation of acute abdomen with bowel obstruction.
