抄録

A 73-year-old woman was seen at another hospital because of a right lower abdominal pain. Appendicitis was suspected and the patient was referred to the hospital. After admission, double cancer of the gallbladder and the cecum was found by barium enema, colonoscopic examination, ultrasonogra-phy and CT. The patient was operated on. Histopathological diagnoses were papillary adenocarcinoma of the gallbladder and well differentiated adenocarcinoma of the cecum. Postoperative course was uneventful. There has been no sign of recurrence, as of 9 months after the operation. In a past one decade, a total of 92 cases of double cancer involving the gallbladder have been reported in Japan, and only two cases of them were of double cancer of the gallbladder and cecum.
