A 16-year-old man was seen at the hospital because of the swollen lfet anterior chest wall. Ultrasonography (US) showed a cystic lesion. Parecentesis of the cyst was performed with a remission. However, it recurred after three months. The patient was admitted for surgical intervention. Computed tomography and US demonstrated that the cyst was located between the major and minor pectoral muscles. Lymphangiography of the left arm and the 99mTc colloidal scintigraphy were performed for determining the communication between the lymphatic system and the tumor. The lymphangiography displayed no positive relationship between both, but the result of 99mTc colloidal scintigraphy suggested that the cyst should communicate to the parasternal lymphatic system.<br> The tumor was surgically removed. The specimen revealed a yellowish multi-cystic lesion and was 254g in weight and 15×13cm in size. It was histopathologically diagnosed as cystic hygroma and there was no evidence of malignancy.<br> The patient had an unevntful postoperative course and no recurrence has been observed for about two years after the aperation.
