A 49-year-old woman undergoing a total extirpation of the uterus with lymph nodes dissection and postoperative radiation therapy for a cervical cancer (stage IIb), had a recurrence at the genital regsion and vagina 3 years and 5 months after the operation. Laser evaporation and chemotherapy were carried out, but skin metastasis occurred at the lower abdomen. At the same time, a right breast elastic hard mass, 9 cm in diameter, was pointed out. The definite diagnosis whether it was primary or metastasis could not be made with mammography, ultrasonography and aspiration cytology. Modified radical mastectomy was done 4 years after the initial operation. The mammary tumor was confirmed a metastasis from the cervical cancer by pathological examination. Thereafter, the metastases to the skin and left mammary gland occurred. The patient was readmitted to the hospital because of a swelling and pain of the left lower limb and died of pleuritis 3 months after the mastectomy. Fourteen previous case reports show that almost patients died within one year. The prognosis was very poor, so we must take care of the oversurgery.
