抄録

A 35-year-old woman in the ninth month of pregnancy was admitted to the hospital because of hematemesis. Endoscopic findings suggested a cancer of the stomach. We performed a cesarean section and total gastrectomy at the same time. The postoperative courses of both the mother and new born baby were uneventful without complications. The case reports about simultaneous performance of cesarean section and gastrectomy are rare. Some researchers say that simultaneous performeance of cesarean section and gastrectomy is not a good method because of extensive damage to the patient. However, we have come to a conclusion from our experience with this case that cesarean section and gastrectomy can be simultaneously performed in safety for pregnant patients, if they have no complications causing a hemorrhagic tendency.
