This paper is intended as an investigation of De ingeneis by Mariano Taccola, who is one of the artisans-engineer in the Early Renaissance. The purpose here is to explore a little further into the Pre-perspective. I consider the subject under the following heads : (1) the drawing method in De ingeneis, (2) The theory of the drawing of staircase in folio 73r. These analysis lead to the conclusion that (1) the tower was drawn looks like perspective drawings and the architecture was drawn looks like axonometric drawings, (2) Taccola drew the staircase by the Preperspective's theory. It follows from what has been said that Taccola, who had Brunelleschi's associates, wasn't used the ‹costruzione leggittima›.
