DESIGN VALUE ENGINEERING IN KOREA

抄録

After IMF economic crisis, the great efforts have been made to break down the high-cost and low efficiency structure in Korean construction industry. Korean government introduced Design VE Program to cope with that situation, connected with Technique Improvement Incentive Program and Budget Saving Incentive Program.<br>This paper is to review the present condition and drawbacks of those programs and design VE with several examples and to present recommendations to go on with Design VE program.
