Abstract

A case of emergency laparoscopic treatment of acute gastric volvulus in a 32-year-old man is reported. The patient did not have intraoperative or postoperative complications, tolerated oral feeding within 24 hours, and was discharged to his home 7 days after surgery. Acute gastric volvulus can be safely treated by laparoscopic techniques.
