Abstract
The uniform and transparent texture of colloidal crystals produced by generating a flow of a suspension in a flat capillary cell is examined by the transmitted Kossel line analysis. The colloidal crystals show clear Kossel patterns which are successfully explained by an fcc structure with (111) twin-stacking faults. The present results indicate that the flow-aligned texture of colloidal crystals has a single-crystalline structure with a fixed orientation.
