We reported a relatively rare case of arteriovenous malformation (AVM) of the colon resected by right colectomy after treatment with repeated arterial embolization.<br>A 62-year-old woman admitted to evaluate microscopic hemostool and anemia was found in abdominal angiography to have AVM at the peripheral iliocecal artery and treated with arterial embolization in April and November 1996. After 6 years, another AVM appeared at the peripheral right colic artery and curatively right colectomy was performed on July 12, 2002. In the follow-up of a patient with gastrointestinal tract AVM, we must consider the possibility of AVM recurrence at different sites even after presumably curative treatment.
