抄録

The demand feeding system with a computer controller for red sea bream (Pagrus major) was designed and developed. The system feeds fish automatically when the fish feel hungry in which they push the touch sensor of the system. When the computer judges a signal from the sensor as a food demand, the computer sends a feeding signal to the dispenser which delivers dry pellets. This system permits a continuous recording of feeding time and counts the numbers of times the fish feed. To verify the availability of this system, the experiment for the comparison the demand feeding by this system with the manual feeding was carried out about growth, feed conversion ratio of red sea bream for 26 days. The results indicated that the demand feeding was more superior than or equal to the manual feeding in relation to growth and food efficiency.
