BaTiO_3固相反応における陰イオン添加効果および反応過程の解明 An Effect of Anion Addition on the Reaction Rate in the Solid State Reaction of BaTiO_3 and an Analysis of the Reaction Process
The microstructural change in the solid-state reaction of BaCO<SUB>3</SUB> and TiO<SUB>2</SUB> to form BaTiO<SUB>3</SUB> has been investigated by using Scanning Transmission Electron Microscopy (STEM). The STEM images showed that the film of BaTiO<SUB>3</SUB> formed at the surface of TiO<SUB>2</SUB> particle in the first stage of this reaction. As the reaction progressed, the film thickened toward the center of TiO<SUB>2</SUB> particle without forming intermediate phase such as Ba<SUB>2</SUB>TiO<SUB>4</SUB>. The influence of anion addition on the reaction rate in this solid-state reaction was also investigated. The addition of BaCl<SUB>2</SUB> accelerated the formation of BaTiO<SUB>3</SUB>.
