Abstract
<p>The changes of O K-edge X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) have been investigated using multiple scattering theory for before and after Li inserted perovskite, LixLa1/3NbO3. Qualitative accordance of spectral change was obtained between experimental and theoretical spectra. It is concluded that the absorption peaks at 532 eV which appeared after Li insertion were due to an interaction between Li and oxygen.</p>
