液体水素コンテナの開発 : 液体水素の長所と短所 Development of a LH_2 container : advantages and disadvantages of LH_2
Hydrogen energy will solve the global environmental issues. Fuel cell vehicles'commercialization will require the hydrogen supply infrastructure. LH<sub>2</sub> (Liquid hydrogen) would be the most promising medium of transporting and storing hydrogen as infrastructure. The large-scale LH<sub>2</sub> system would be similar to the existing LNG system. <br> A LH<sub>2</sub> container, which intends for multi-modal large scale transportation of LH<sub>2</sub> by road, by rail or by sea, will be one of important equipments for realizing the economical and efficient LH<sub>2</sub> systems. Thermal behavior and sloshing of a LH<sub>2</sub> container, which differ from those of a stationary tank, will influence the boil off gas loss and the pressure rise of the closed vessel. This paper reviews LH<sub>2</sub> systems and their features, and also describes an example of analytical results of sloshing of a LH<sub>2</sub> container.
