Abstract
By using “a system for teaching geographic ways of looking and thinking” put forward by Yoshida (2001b), this paper aims at designing such high school geography lessons as to develop geographical skills. Therefore as the content of lessons for that purpose, I decided to take up field work as a reliable method of developing geographic skills.<br>As a result in this paper, I made a draft of a teaching plan for high school geography lessons, which sees into the area of teaching guidelines as well as attaches importance to education of geographic skills, and designed lessons that will serve as a conceptual model.
